My psychology department is calculating my home-to-campus distance using Google Maps shortest route (96.3 km), which includes Highway 407 (toll), and denying my external proctor request since the cutoff is 100 km. The standard non-toll route is ~106 km, (401) and the exams department previously approved external proctoring for me using the same address. Is it normal for universities to use toll roads) for eligibility, and can this be challenged? cus the average commuting student is not paying tolls 😭
