Conflicting advice on De Quervain’s and early carpal tunnel - advice

I have wrist pain after a golf injury. My MRI shows moderate De Quervain’s and mild flexor tendon inflammation, plus mild median nerve swelling. My nerve test is normal. Steroid injections helped for a few weeks, then the pain returned but is now milder. One surgeon says my symptoms today are not severe enough for surgery. Another surgeon says the MRI and the steroid response confirm both conditions and that surgery is reasonable.Has anyone been in this situation? Did you wait or go ahead with surgery? How did it affect your return to sport? Heavy wrist sports like golf if I don't do surgery.

Finally might take the plunge and do the surgery for dequervains and carpul at the same time - questions on risks

Hello, had a long list of complications that could occur on surgery for both dequervains and carpul from the consultant.

Can I ask what complications people have had in their surgery? It's billed at a day-to-day operation, but after reading the operating guidance, he's mentioned so many issues that could occur... It's putting me off surgery.

MRI and Cracking on with surgery????

I recently received a steroid injections for what was essentially carpal tunnel syndrome and dequervains, approximately six weeks ago via ultra sound so guided. Presently, I'm experiencing the same discomfort I had prior to the steroid treatment. I'm also diligently performing my prescribed physiotherapy exercises and resting with splint, At this point, I'm contemplating proceeding with surgery. I'm wondering if anyone has encountered similar symptoms following an MRI report.

Should I simply opt for the surgery, or is there any benefit to delaying and exploring other avenues?

Mri

Physio says I'm mad

Suggested surgery to my physio for dequervains and he's said I'm mad to think about surgery and it will calm down, don't really understand the negatives of surgery and why not to go down the surgery route?
