What a difference on space

Was checking my Disk space on C:

Found out Claude occupy around 12.4 GB and Codex roughly 2.52 GB

Surprised me the huge difference on space since i have like 10 projects onto Codex, but so few onto Claude like 2 or 3.

For Ollama i mostly use the Cloud service rather than locals models, since GLM 5.2 is incredible cheap and generous use for the 260 bunch per year

What about yours?

Sonnet 5 is Out but?

This is a comparison directly from claude itself:

Token price comparison with the latest AI , Sonet 5, Opus 4.8, GPT 5.6, GPT 5.5
GLM 5.2

Price vs Real Efficiency (cost per task, not per token)

This is the key insight that changes everything: price per token ≠ cost per task. A "cheap" model can end up costing more if it needs far more tokens (reasoning, retries, verbosity) to reach the same result.

Model Price ($/MTok in-out) Real cost per task (Intelligence Index, AA) Efficiency note
GLM-5.2 $1.40 / $4.40 Cheaper overall, but verbose Generates ~43,000 output tokens per task, of which 37,000 are pure reasoning — far more than Kimi K2.6 (~35,000) or MiniMax-M3 (~24,000)
Claude Sonnet 5 $2-3 / $10-15 $2.29 per task ~2x more than Sonnet 4.6 and ~15% more than Opus 4.8 — driven entirely by higher token usage, not price
Claude Opus 4.8 $5 / $25 ~$1.99 per task Ends up cheaper per task than Sonnet 5 despite costing more per token — it's more efficient, generating fewer tokens for the same result
GPT-5.5 (xhigh) $5 / $30 Competitive despite the high price Reaches the answer with a fraction of GLM's word count, which for many tasks closes the gap or flips it
GPT-5.6 Terra $2.50 / $15 No independent data yet Gated preview, no external verification yet

This means Sonnet 5 still expensive than Opus per task.
and GPT 5.5 Xhigh uses less tokens than GLM 5.2 per task which close the token price gasp.

Also Sonnet 5 price per million of tokens will increase about 1/5 per million of tokens, so it will keep being more expensive than now
