So i caved lol and since clearly i have unlimited disposable income i bought the battra too. Over all i do really like it, more than mothra probably, the colors are crisp and honestly better than the monsterarts but that isn’t saying much since both the regular battra and the scv battra had really fuzzy line work on the yellow

If the monsterarts is out of budget i do think it’s a perfect alternative, and since it’s a little smaller it almost looks more in scale with godzilla but i haven’t seen Godzilla vs Mothra in forever. the heads are molder in translucent yellow plastic which is pretty cool. $85 is kind of a lot and i feel like $15 are being spent on that big ass box lol

So in keeping with the general theme of mothra repaints, i took it upon myself to repaint the SCV of mothra to make the shading feel a little more subtle and tone down that dark blue/gray while still keeping the night color theme of the figure and to contrast with the super 7.

Idk if you guys remember how poorly painted the regular figure actually is and for years i’ve been wanting to adjust the colors. I accidentally broke the wing so i was really hoping it was worth it but overall i like how it turned out

Hey guys just wanted to show what i was working on. i repainted the super7 mothra to look a bit more like the movie and to have better contrast with the SCV mothra. there are a few rough edges i have to clean up like the legs and adding the black circle around the eyes. i just wish i took some before and after pics

if anyone was thinking about potentially getting the super7, do it. it’s a really solid option when compared to the monsterarts
