Audiobook Fans.. I need your help!

I’m working on a project and trying to build lists of the BEST audiobooks for different “listening vibes.” Drop your top recommendations for any of these categories

  • ☔️Rainy Day Listen
  • 🚗Perfect Family Road Trip Listen
  • 🌶️Steamy Listen
  • 🎭Performance Masterpiece
  • 💔Soul Crusher
  • 🏝️Beach Listen
  • 🤔Makes You Think
  • 😱Plot Twist Chaos
  • 🤣LOL Listen (actually funny, not just “cute” funny )

I’m looking for books that IMMEDIATELY come to mind when you see one of these vibes. Thanks friends!

My boys (9 & 11) and I listen to audiobooks every morning on the way to school and while driving around, and it’s honestly become one of our favorite routines.

We just finished Gregor the Overlander and now we’re in that awkward “everything is on hold” phase with nothing to listen to.

Currently waiting on:

  • The City of Ember
  • The School for Thieves

We’ve also already gone through all the Ivan books (The One and Only Ivan, etc.).

Looking for:

  • Ages 9–11 friendly
  • Not too scary (one of my kids is sensitive to that)
  • Preferably adventure, animals, or fun/engaging stories
  • Bonus if the audiobook narration is really good

Any recommendations that might actually be available without a long wait? 🙏

I always feel like I’m just adding books I want to read… so I’m trying to mix it up this time.

Looking for:

  • ~8–14 hour audiobooks
  • Good narrators (this matters a lot for us)
  • Any genre is fair game
  • Just probably not dark romance… I won’t win that battle 😂

We’ve liked a mix of thriller, lighter fiction, and some unique/weird picks in the past.

What would you add to the wheel??
