I've been getting a lot of these videos on my YouTube lately and I love tøp so I listen to most of them, but so many are just "what if this song was darker?" Vocals drowned out by the music, heavier drums, bass guitar, echo-y background vocals.

Trench was not an all-around darker album. Jumpsuit set the tone (even then the song is half grunge half not) and the rest of the album is regular tøp. Not to discredit it at all it's obviously a fantastic album. But Trench gave us Chlorine and Legend and even Nico and the Niners for what I'm talking about. Trench wasn't just this bleak and depressing take on world building, it's about a man obsessed with making music and all of the facets that come with that. These remixes should focus more on new and almost experimental sound
