JSMB student here. Just today I read 2 posts about group projects (and many more in the past), based on what I have seen & experienced, here is my somewhat biased yet always verified conclusion: guys tend to slack more on group projects, at least in my faculty.
YES, I KNOW, not all dudes, but always a dude. I mean, the fact that I have to make this post and connect it to gender is illogical and pathetic, yet reality has proved me right so many times. Kudos to guys out there who have been consistent, punctual and responsible; this post isn't about you.
Sometimes by just checking someone's vibes, you can already tell this mf isn't gonna do much on the group project. NGL I was a bum when I had finished high school. Yeah my grade was alright to get into a cégep, but I didn't really have any idea where I was going. So I took another approach. Anyway, that's a different story.
This isn't going to sound nice or gentle; in fact, even kind of harsh: you should not expect others to take university seriously. Yes I know it's called a group project and everyone should put in the work; well, sometimes you are stuck with some lame ahh mfs, and they don't do shit. What could you do? EVERYTHING IN LIFE AIN'T HAPPENING THE WAY YOU WANT, sometimes you have to accept it and deal with it. Don't let some random bih ahh mfs ruin your mood. You don't deserve that.
Try to go with professors with higher ratings, because they tend to care and understand the situation(not guaranteed, do not rely on my words on this one).
Oh , last academic year this mf in our group did absolutely zero work, I didn't say shit, until the peer evaluation. Then I roasted the shit outta that mf, without profanity, naturally. And I rated him 0 for everything (so did other team members cuz they couldn't put up with his BS).
Sometimes I wonder if starting university right after high school/cégep is the best decision for everyone.
