Any shame on copying someone's design?

This may be silly... please don't flame. Is it ok to copy someone else's design? I'm not entering any contest, i just saw an aquascape that it's exactly what i want to copy. Thoughts?

Does fish food really expire?

Have a7 ounce jar of flakes that has October 2025 as an expiration. The lid is always closed right after i take some and the food never got wet. Is it really bad or just a way too get us to buy more?
