Now that I have the most hyped dama I can finally start improving. Should be going pro by the end of the week. Sorry to leave you guys behind but I’ll see you at the top.
I was watching a game of Ken sweets vs coop I think and they were both using brand new damas and coop at one point turned to the camera and said never lick a brand new bevel. I generally try not to lick my bevel at all but I was just curious if there’s any truth to this and like why?
TLDW: use the ring stall to sling instead of the cups, it’s the first trick I taught myself how to do pre Kendamanomics and sweets tutorials. Please try it and post your clips bc I’m excited to see what actually good kenners can do. If I’m wrong let me know.
Also the one where I’m holding in swivel position was RING STALL not handle stall technically my first ring stall but idk if I count it cuz for some reason it’s a lot easier than in Ken position
The handlestall is always what got me, and guess what trick is next… it rhymes with baround fandlestall
Switch Ken flip spike felt SO TUFF and also .5 rover was fun I’d never tried those and also SARA BIRD DOWNSPIKE??? it looks so clean and feels so nice and god it’s such a good trick I love ET so much
I’ve been experimenting with catching luns and LHs on the side of the tama instead of directly on top of the bev. In my mind I feel like it makes sense to spread the tricks out across a larger surface area rather than land every trick in the same spot causing more erosion to the area around the bev maybe? Idk it makes those ins a little more of a challenge but I feel like it’s a good challenge forcing me to be more dexterous with how I hold the tama. Thoughts?
This trend of people “focusing,” stomping or just like destroying their damas after landing a trick they’ve been grinding is cringe and weird and kinda sad.
I call this trick “around the around the world” because it’s big / small / base / spike in ken Sara and tama grips
Shoutout u/Redbeard_tattooz93 for inspiring me to lock in and actually grind my balance tricks
Also I think somebody had made a post about walking and kenning at the same time and somebody else had made a post or had a discussion at least about POV filming and I’ve been having so much fun experimenting with walking and kenning and POV filming, strongly recommend everyone to try it out if you never have
YANK IT YANK IT YANK IT YANK IT YANK IT YANK IT YANK IT YANK IT YEEEAAAAAAHHHHH

I live in Texas where the heat and humidity can really deplete the life on my tamas if I’m not careful. I’m not sure if it’s affecting the wood or the paint or both but either way it’ll be interesting to see if the plastic holds up better than the wood.
There’s a super interesting silicone ring on the inside of the bevel that stalls um… differently… definitely an adjustment period but I’m going to main this setup for a little bit and see how it plays after a couple weeks.
Right out of the box tho plays pretty good, not a huge tapper but my one taps have a pretty unique bounce to them that you don’t really get from wood tamas, stalls can kind of catch a little bit bc there’s just that much more friction in the bevel. As with most brand new tamas and especially with the cereal trinity Ken the lunars and lighthouses feel really good but I usually start having trouble sticking them after a couple weeks when the paints not as fresh.
IDK WE’LL SEE!!! Anyone else have any experience with these?
