NAD: 70s Solid State Rickenbacker TR25
I'm getting tired of playing thru amp pedals w/ IRs into my FR10. I want the sound of an amp in the room not a mic'd up recorded amp. Picked this up on a whim yesterday and I'm super happy with it so far. Sounds wonderful and gets way louder than the FR10. Spring reverb tank and tremolo (both foot switchable). 12" Eminence legend fro the 90s. Capacitors and resistors replaced. The distortion on it is subpar but the clean is crystal and it sounds great running the Science Mother preamp into it. It's been forever since i've played thru an actual amp and am happy to have it. Also confirms that i prefer analog cabinet modeling over IRs. Analog cab simulation def sounds more like an amp in the room. EQD Easy listening is perfect for that if I want to use the FR10 or run into my interface and monitors. Anywhoo...first post here. Hi.
