Eyes eczema??
It’s been 1 month that I’ve had irritation on the eyelid of my left eye and it keeps getting worse. It started with only the lower eyelid being swollen, then it became extremely itchy, then red and the skin started crusting. It’s like a cycle: it itches, then it “flares up,” swells and becomes bright red, then crusts over and starts again. Now it has spread to my upper eyelid too. The itching is intense and unbearable, and it’s really the lash line/base of my eyelashes that itches the most.
I went to a pharmacist and was prescribed an antibiotic ointment and warm compresses, but nothing has changed. I got gel nails done about a month ago, but I removed them immediately when I noticed the irritation. I also bought a new mascara, but I stopped using it.
Important to know: I have glaucoma in both eyes and I can’t use certain medications on my eyes, such as corticosteroids.
Does anyone have an idea what this could be? It’s becoming unbearable.
