Been on the pill continuously for 8 years with no period, about to stop to get pregnant

Hello everyone! I'm 27 now and at 19 I found out I have endometriosis. I was put on the pill and took it normally until the age of 25, when my symptoms were pretty bad. My doctor told me that I can get surgery or we can try something else, I wanted to avoid surgery as long as possible so he put me on Lyrica to hopefully ease the nerve pain. He also suggested to take the pill without pausing for the 7 days. Since I've started doing both of those things my symptoms have reduced considerably to the point I don't feel like I need surgery anymore. I haven't gotten a proper period in 2 years and honestly it's been great.

The issue is, I want to get pregnant. So next month I'm going to stop taking the pill completely. I've heard the first period is really bad. If you have been taking your pill like me, without the 7 days break, could you please share your experiences? Both with the periods that are to come and if you got pregnant, how quickly did it happen? I'm terrified. What prompted me to stop my period was a flare that ended up with me almost passing out and calling an ambulance.

Hi everyone, I made this post a few weeks ago and I'm back with an update: https://www.reddit.com/r/aortic_aneurysm/comments/1rwzd1m/8_cm_aortic_aneurysm_and_wedding_in_25_weeks/

I am happy to say that 1 month and 20 days later my dad got surgery and it was a success! Many of you have expressed concern because he didn't get surgery immediately on his 8 cm aneurysm and let me tell you why. We spent over 1 month trying to find a surgeon that would operate on him. Most suggested he should go with TEVAR and that open surgery is way too risky, while others said that open surgery is best. We didn't know who to believe, but ultimately no surgeon in our country managed to provide a solution that we could trust in a timely manner and we decided to go to Turkey (we are in Europe, close to Turkey). Of course this was out of pocket which was pretty expensive (although nowhere close to the US), but basically our country's health system disappointed us.

Dad's been out of surgery for 3 days, he has recovered well, he has a very small Type II benign leak that the doctors said will resolve in a few months. He attended my wedding since at that time we didn't have a solution, which was bittersweet because none of us could enjoy it fully and you could see the concern on our faces. But all is well in the end.
