Why can't parisians fit their old fire places with air conditioning?
I understand that people don't like the idea of window units due to the noise, the difficulty with window shapes, and preserving the look of the buildings. But I see every building has many chimneys coming from the old fireplaces that used to heat the buildings. Wouldn't it be possible to mount air conditioning units inside the apartments and use the chimneys as exhaust for the hot air?
