Onsite Interview

Hey guys, I have an onsite interview coming up (most likely in a week or two but nothing's been confirmed). I'm honestly kind of freaking out because I've never made it this far in any sort of job process that wasn't an internship. For context I'm a new grad EE graduating this year so I've mainly been looking for full time jobs, and so far I've had a recruiter screen and a technical interview over zoom. I'm honestly just wondering if there's any advice or anything I should know about the onsite that can help me understand a bit better of how it usually goes. I have no idea what to expect and no idea how to prepare myself.

Theories on why LeBron didn’t come back

So it’s been a few hours after “The Decision: Part 3”, and I wanted to kind of ask everyone here: why do you think LeBron decided not to come back to the Cavs? Because to me, it made the perfect sense. The team just made the conference finals with half a year of James Harden, he would fit right into the starting lineup, its home and would give him the storybook ending, I can go on. I think at the end of the day, it’s about ring chasing. Now I’m not saying he’s wrong for ring chasing, but it’s very clear he sees the sixers as the best opportunity to win another title on. I think seeing James Harden’s past playoff failures, as well as seeing us get swept in the ECF didn’t help with that at all. Maybe I’m reading too deep into it but let me know what you guys think.

Upcoming Senior: How to prep for technical interviews?

Hi everyone,

I’m heading into my senior year studying Electrical and Computer Engineering, and I want to use my downtime during my current summer internship to prep for new grad technical interviews this fall. I'm primarily targeting hardware engineering and circuit/PCB design roles.

My resume is in good shape (3 internships, solid projects) and I have a good network of referrals lined up for the places I want to apply. My main concern right now is my technical recall and interview skills under pressure. In the past, I’ve made stupid mistakes on interviews, blanking on fundamental stuff that would be easy for me in any other scenario.

So I was wondering how should I structure my preparation over the next couple of months. Should I focus on grinding common interview questions? Should I just review my fundamentals? (If so, what are the best resources/methods you recommend?), and how do you practice to avoid freezing up or making silly mistakes during interviews in general?

Looking for any guidance on how to best use my time right now. Thanks!

An update on Kyrie not showing up to the 2016 Cavs reunion

I initially thought Kyrie had to go to his basketball camp, which is why he didn’t come to the 2016 reunion, but according to JR that was a different day. And RJ answered the question of why would he come if he didn’t like golf. So it doesn’t look like they’re too happy about it, especially JR

Honestly, I don’t know what to think. Obviously he’s a grown man, and no one here knows him personally so he’s free to do whatever he wants, but it does kind of bum me out that it seems Kyrie just didn’t want to show up for a reunion for the first (and probably only) championship in his career. I want to give him the benefit of the doubt but I’m not sure what to say here.

So what moves should we make in the offseason?

So the Cavs are officially down 3-0, and the series is basically over. With that, what moves do you guys think they should make in the offseason, do they keep the core together? One can argue that they only had half a year together. Do you extend both Harden and Spida after seeing both their struggles, let us know your thoughts
