Insurance told me they never heard of PCOS causing insulin resistance

Coming here to vent about insurance as I try to get approved for a GLP1 because im just so frustrated and over it. I have insulin resistance (NOT diabetes) however this can eventually turn into diabetes if I can’t get it under control. Trying to get insurance authorization for a GLP1 and they told me that they have not heard of people with PCOS having insulin resistance which is insanity to me.. because out of the three types of PCOS- the insulin resistant one is the most common. I have taken a cardio IR test that did show moderate insulin resistance. I also have the infamous hump. And I’m 190lbs 5’3. Anyone else struggle with this :(

For at least the last decade I believe Ive had the insulin resistance hump. It drives me crazy and I just want to get rid of it. Ive started (for the 100th time) making the necessary adjustments to my lifestyle (keto, fasting and exercise). While im restarting this journey again. Im curious how many of you have reduced or gotten rid of the IR hump and how long it took you to do so. Thank you 🙏
