This was probably the most telling response of the entire presser. Should preface this answer with a previous answer Myers gave saying we essentially saw our fully “healthy” roster in the playoffs when Embiid came back in the Boston series and we couldn’t get it done. I think he knows that the current construction of the roster isn’t good enough and I would expect some kind of big change coming this offseason

Morey should be fired immediately. This years roster construction was terrible we have no bench at all. we need to just get rid of either Embiid or PG. For years we been playing this weird game of chicken on whether we should “run it back” again with Embiid or cut ties and build younger but it’s clearly not working we need to seriously get one or both of those contracts off our books and look at building around Maxey and VJ. We need to be a faster paced deeper team if we want to have a legit chance. This “big 3” roster construction is horrendous and outdated. I’d take 4 or 5 legit role players who can produce wins on our team over those huge contracts
