Cowabunga Bay’s swimwear policy seems oddly prudish for Las Vegas

I was looking at Cowabunga Bay’s swimwear rules and was surprised by how restrictive they seem for a Vegas-area water park.

Apparently, T-back and thong bikini bottoms for women are not allowed (see them everywhere in FL), and they also seem to discourage certain fitted men’s swimwear (jammer, swim brief). That feels pretty outdated compared to places like Orlando, Miami, or even most resort pools, where normal adult swimwear is not treated like some major issue.

I get having basic rules against anything truly inappropriate, but banning common swimwear styles under “family friendly” wording feels vague and unwelcoming. Las Vegas gets visitors from all over, and not everyone has the same prudish swimwear expectations.

Do locals actually support this kind of policy, or does Cowabunga Bay just feel too stringent here?
