Backyard Ideas (Pictures Included)

Hey guys,
I’m currently trying to improve my backyard and wanted some ideas/suggestions. I already added pavers/tiles throughout most of the patio area, but the space still feels kind of empty/bland and I’m not sure how to tie everything together. I attached pictures of the patio area, the side alley/pathway, and the garden area in the back.

Patio Area (First 2 Pics)
I already installed the pavers and string lights. Near the fence, there’s a small gap between the fence and pavers, I was thinking of filling that with decorative rocks/pebbles. I also want to make the patio feel more alive because right now it feels kind of flat and empty.

Possible Ideas
-Plant boxes/raised flower beds
-small shrubs/plants

Side Alley / Pathway
This area currently just has dirt/rocks. I was thinking of doing stepping pavers/tiles with spacing between them instead of fully paving it. Maybe adding flowers/plants on the sides of the path. I attached an inspiration picture with the grass + stepping stone look.

Not sure if I should do
-Grass-Artificial
-Mulch/Bark

Would love ideas for making this narrow alley actually look nice and intentional instead of just a side passage.

Garden Area (Back Area)
This is the area with the trees and dirt/vegetables. I was thinking of building staired raised vegetable beds like the one in the inspiration pic I attached.

Maybe adding:
-vegetables/herbs
-flowers around the edges

Mainly trying to make the whole backyard feel:
-Cleaner
-“Homey”/Alive, trying not to make it “mordern/minimalist”
-More green/alive

Painting Garage Door/Door

Hello Guys,
I’m painting my garage and door, and I’m seeing streaks/shine. What do you guys recommend for me to do? I just painted the door right now one coat, and the Garage was painted roughly at 8pm last night and one coat aswell. This is my first time doing this, and I need some help/guidance. I’ve seen that the shine will go away with the sun, but I’m not sure.

I’m using

  1. 220 grit sandpaper (3M Pro Grade Purple)
  2. Paint Brush
  3. Paint Roller
  4. Paint and Primer Behir Ultra Ext Semi Gloss Coffe Bean color
