Can someone please help ID?
My friend and I found this bug it appears to be some type of caterpillar but its shell is a leaf when it moves the leaf moves completely with it and the leaves is 100% attached to its body. I’m deeply fascinated with this bug and crave to do more research but reverse image searching and googling key phrases isn’t doing any help. BUG GENIUSES HELP PLEASE! This little guy sparked a nature science fire in me. 🙏🏼 He was found on a Lilly pad in Illinois in a mossy pond.
