Hey guys,
Im writing this for all the currently enrolled IoBM students and the coming ones too.
I have been seeing a lot of posts asking about career prospects after getting a degree from IoBM vs IBA, FAST or LUMS and honestly you guys are stressing over the wrong thing.
I have been in the job market for quite some time now and one thing I have realised is that companies genuinely dont care as much about what university you graduated from as people think. They care if you can do the job. Thats it.
Im personally in my early semesters at IoBM and Alhumdullilah im earning 140k+ through my job while also running my own business. The only reason I was able to land a good job wasnt because of my university, it was because I already had experience and the right connections tbh.
To put things into perspective, I have personally helped a lot of my friends get placed through my own network. Some of them are from well known universities and most fresh graduate offers I have seen are around 70k-100k, with quite a few even starting at 50k. The market is tough for everyone regardless of the name on your degree.
The biggest advice I can give anyone is stop worrying so much about university comparisons and start making connections. Network with seniors, attend events, talk to recruiters, build relationships with people in the industry, work on internships, freelance, do projects and actually meet people. Opportunities dont just come from applying online, most of them come from people who know you and trust your work.
A degree will only get you shortlisted. Your skills, your experience and especially your network are what will get you the opportunity.
So if you’re joining IoBM, IBA, FAST, LUMS or any other university, spend less time arguing over rankings and more time building yourself and your connections. Trust me, 4 years later that network will be worth far more than the university name written on your degree
[Kindly ask your questions in this thread no personal dms if you im mistaken somewhere feel free to correct me in the comments but make sure you have valid points please]

If you have any questions regarding admissions, faculty, courses, campus facilities, student life, or anything related to IoBM, drop them in the comments. I’ll be happy to help.
Welcome to IoBM, and best of luck! 🎓
Hey Guys,
Seeing a lot of guys panicking here just because they messed up there exam guys chill out IoBM rarely fails in the entry test tbh just wait till you get your results and prepare for your interviews and group learning in the meanwhile because these are the parts where mostly people get filtered out you have to be confident and really good with your wording also dressing ill personally say that 90% of you would pass the entrance exam but after that its pure luck
