Translated by Alymer and Louise Maude, broken into 3 volumes that fit into slipcase. This is the preferred translation of this publisher for the works of Tolstoy. I'm not familiar with this translation, having read the translation by Pevear and Volokhonsky. Slipcase and jacket depict: Battle of Austerlitz, Battle of Borodino, and the burning of Moscow, key events in the book.
