Wife left with the kids - don't care

Look, I just watched all four seasons in 48-hours, for maybe the eighth time? Usually the lines between reality and the town start blurring around hour 30. I just looked out my kitchen window, saw a Amazon delivery guy, and screamed at him to get inside before sundown.

My boss called to ask why I missed the quarterly presentation. I channeled my inner-Boyd and told him, "I gotta go". The real world is just feels empty compared to Fromville.

My wife found out I quit because I was always at home and started to smell bad. She kept yelling something about "rent" and "our children's future," but honestly, her voice washed over me like cicadas.

I had a talisman I bought off of eBay hanging by my door - it was the only way I could sleep at night without nightmares. There are loads on eBay, I can always order a new one. I tried giving it to her when she was packing her car to leave me, but she threw it at my head.

Anyway, she's gone now. I don't really feel bad though? Besides the welt on my forehead. That hurts a little bit. Nothing that I can't handle though. The only thing bothering me is just this lingering thought that I might be trapped in a different level of the simulation?

Also, how do I eat canned peaches without a can opener?

Coming from someone who's picky: Just watch. You won't be disappointed.

I was pretty hesitant about this show at first, but watching it is so worth it. It is entirely unique from anything I've ever seen. I usually stick to sci-fi, so stepping into a mystery/watered-down horror show was a new experience for me. I'm so glad I gave it a chance.

In the first couple of episodes, I noticed some slight rough edges in the acting and writing. I was also a bit put off by Redditors saying it's just a 'mystery box' where nothing actually gets solved. It felt a bit slow at the start, with a lot of seemingly unnecessary dialogue.

But I'm so glad I kept watching. The acting quality isn't something I notice anymore. I think it actualyl gets much better as the show progresses, and there are some seriously good actors involved.

Despite what I read by some critical Redditors, I think the show DOES entirely satisfy. It isn't just random cliffhangers and abandoned plot points. You learn more about the world as you go, while constantly being introduced to fascinating new concepts.

I've laughed, I've cried, and I'm always on the edge of my seat. This show really delivers it all.

I only started watching a week or two ago, but I'm glad I stuck with it through the first season and beyond. I'm already on season 4.

P.S. That jump scare in the first episode is the scariest thing I've seen so far. I have a very low tolerance for horror, so it initially put me off. Thankfully, nothing has been that bad since (the Jasper doll is a bit abrupt, but manageable). The show is creepy and suspenseful, but completely tolerable. Just enough to feel scared and totally engaged/pulled into it without needing to look away from the screen.
