Bracknell's biggest housing association Abri will pass millions of redecoration costs from 2021-2024 to leaseholders. The deadline to object is Monday.
Abri, now Bracknell's biggest housing association after its October 2023 merger with Silva Homes, manages about 10,000 homes in Bracknell Forest.
It has applied to the First-tier Tribunal (Property Chamber) to pass the cost of redecoration and roofing works on to leaseholders. The bills are said to be roughly £1.477 million for redecoration over four years and about £4.5 million for roofing over three years. Abri says leaseholders will contribute in accordance with the terms of their leases.
Leaseholders wishing to object must send a 'reply form for leaseholders' and a 'statement objecting to the landlord's application for dispensation' to RPEastern@justice.gov.uk by the deadline on Monday, August 17. The forms are under the 'additional details about this application' tab at https://www.abri.co.uk/redecoration and https://www.abri.co.uk/roofing.
