Somebody had commented on another post, asking about the Puccini opera song that plays when the booster returns to the pad. I'd been already curious, so decided to check it out. I'm a rock musician but do love a good, rousing finale no matter the style (I'm lookin at you, Andrew Lloyd Webber).

According to google: In The Last Caretaker, the opera song playing when the rocket booster returns to the launch pad is "Nessun Dorma," a famous aria from Giacomo Puccini's opera Turandot.

"Nessun dorma" is Italian for "Let no one sleep". Sung by the disguised Prince Calaf, it expresses his certainty that the cruel Princess Turandot will not discover his identity by dawn and that he will win her love.

The ending chorus lyrics that we hear (english translation):

Vanish, o night!
Set, stars! Set, stars!
At dawn, I will win!
I will win!
I will win!

So I guess that applies to the game.

I've culled about 70-80 sharks (all 3 kinds) from just the dock side of Laz (mostly enjoying sniping at the fast-moving Rams a long way off) - and they Just. Keep. Coming. So far about 200kg of bio flesh.

On a side note, the Tideripper Twin Jet has completely replaced using the Jet Ski for shark salvage. 50km/hr out, grind 3 or 4, and on return launch myself directly onto the boat for recycling. And if the shark music alerts me I can outrun 'em all (it's also fun to play underwater 'tag' with them).

Yes, I am aware I have too much time on my hands, and probably need professional help.

Popped up between Gamma & Orion. Trivia - if you shoot at sharks from the whale, they will not attack. Oh, and nice of the devs to fix scrapping them, no longer have to swim about gathering parts.

The rocket always has 100% oxy/meth/pwr when I leave. I transported 3 humans to Exodus, built the pod, loaded them in it, went to the launch center - and its showing less than 30% on everything, no pod even built? WTF. Guess I should stop resaving on the same level. Or just f*ck it and wait another month for something more to do - was just doing research at this point.

Omega's Oil Whale is nowhere to be found. Sailed sufficiently around the area to make sure it wasn't just out of 'sight'. The other one is still hanging out where I last left it. Happening to anyone else?

Update: found it. About 2km NE from Omega, maybe currents move it? Shrug. Also had an angel for company, though I had eradicated almost all so far. FYI - I've experimented with 30/50/65 KW on the whale's 100KW battery, and seems that 65% netted me the full 10K L of oil capacity - although 30-50KW gets me just shy of 10K regardless. Always comes back with 0 charge left. I have 15 batteries on board so that is good for about half for a comfortable margin. I can safely assume 40KW charge will get me what I need, but BV is still an attractive option for when I've got the time for a full oil/diesel refill.

Oh, and if you send it back down with any amt of oil and any charge, it comes back with 0/0. Although I have yet to repeat to verify.

It's buzzing/clicking hard at all times; started during a gig, but just when closed. Finished the night using it slightly open or switched to ride. Now it is constant and unusable. Purchased July 2023, the only time similar has happened was when I accidently reversed A & B cables.

I have:

1. Disabled the Choke Sensor (System -> Trigger -> Digital -> Advanced)
2. Recalibrated the Hi-Hat (System -> Trigger -> Hi-Hat -> Offset)
3. Firmware for TD-27 (2.21) and VH-14D (1.11) are up to date
4. Cleaned the contacts on A & B cables, compressed air on the holes.
5. Reset Hi-hat trigger (System -> Trigger -> Digital -> Advanced)
6. Factory reset - with & without samples
7. There are 3 'Digital Trigger In' USB slots on the TD-27 module - snare & ride work fine on all 3, issue remains on hi-hat regardless of the input slot.

I'm out of ideas now. Anyone have suggestions?
