Should I quit this job or am I overreacting?
I’m 23f and have worked part-time at the same place since I was 18. I also finished my MBO4 through this job.
I’m starting a 2-year Software Development programme in September, so this job isn’t part of my future.
The issue is I feel generally looked down on at work. One coworker also keeps making personal comments like I’ll “never achieve anything” or “end up alone,” and calling me a boring witch “as a joke.” My manager just brushes it off as banter.
I only work there 1 day a week, but I still go home feeling drained and upset.
The conflict for me is that I’d lose income, and I’m unsure if it’s worth finding another part-time job when I’ll likely move into software development work later anyway. Also, I’ve worked here so long it feels like a stable routine.
I’m unsure if this is enough reason to quit or if I’m overreacting.
What would you do?
