Water running along marble channel and outside bathtub
Hi everyone,
I have an issue with my bathtub/shower screen setup and I’m looking for advice or ideas before doing some minor work.
The glass shower panel is fixed and mounted directly onto the stone/marble surface, not directly on the bathtub edge. Between the glass panel and the inside of the bathtub, there is a marble “channel” about 3 cm wide where water runs when I take a shower, eventually overflowing and flooding the bathroom floor.
The issue is not caused by a leaking joint, but rather because this flat surface acts like a small gutter/channel that guides the water outward instead of back into the bathtub.
A few important details:
- the glass panel is fixed and cannot easily be removed;
- there is no gap underneath the glass.
I’m attaching an annotated photo to make it clearer.
Has anyone ever dealt with this kind of configuration/problem?
What would you do in this situation to fix it, ideally with a simple solution that doesn’t look too DIY/ugly?
