Is my doctor lying to me? 17M
so I’m 17 I play basketball, ive been having lower back, leg and shoulder pain for months now, few days ago i got the mri and it says that i got lumbar spondylosis, enlargement of L2,L3 and L4 discs. I showed that to my neurologist, I’m flat footed so she said that I need new custom orthotics and no physical therapy. The way I move, walk or run has changed Throughout these months, I want to know, is she bullshitting me? It’s hard to believe tha I don’t need physical therapy and that orthotics will fix anything. She also said that I can keep playing basketball even rn as long as I play with orthotics. what do I do, I don’t trust her, my mom has her side, says that cuz she is a doctor she knows better, but every time my doctors have said that I didn’t need physical therapy, i got injured again.
