Hi! I’m an incoming MDS student at UMich and will be living in Munger (Central Campus).
I’m trying to decide whether I should get a used car before arriving or wait until I settle in.

I’m wondering how necessary a car is for daily life.

• Do most students get by without a car?
• How often do you need to go off-campus (groceries, internships, etc.)?
• Does winter make commuting without a car difficult?

Would you recommend getting a car in the first year, or waiting?
