technical question - 1095 for battle axes

I have been looking at this Leviathan Axe by Scorpion knives on Kult of Athena.
Do you think this axe would hold up to heavy use?
I understand that 1095 is a hard steel and that 5160 or 1060 would be better for durability.
I am a fan of the video games but I would be purchasing this for it's alleged durability.. Scorpion's website mentions thermal cycling and oil quench, but there is nothing to indicate a differential hardening.
would the money be better spent on a Gransfor/Hults Bruks axe? how about at the sacrifice of the "wow factor" and this design being my goal.
any similar, bearded axes of a similar size that would be any more durable?
background:
I would like for it to last for a long time.
I am a collector, and I own katana, wakizashi, tanto, karambit, kukri, and hatchets.. so I am not at a shortage of blades.
it just seems very cool, but perhaps not completely durable at 3/16" thick and through-hardened for $386 shipped?
