Repinning the 6-pin taillight connectors - sanity check
Hey there. I bought a new set of taillights for my 2001 sedan. Facelift taillights, with the clear top part and LED middle and the spongy gasket thing and everything. As part of the "restoration" process, I decided to also sort out the 6-pin connectors as well. Unfortunately one of them is missing completely, and the other one is... not reusable. So I'll be doing two new 6-pin connectors as well. Currently both taillights are disgusting messes of electrical tape. I want it done right this time, so proper connectors it will be.
I've been trying to figure out exactly what I need to get that done. Everyone talks about re-pinning them, but figuring out exactly what I need has been kinda difficult because documentation doesn't seem to be very good. Ultimately I have ended up with:
2x 61136984758 - the 6-pin connector housing, one per side
12x 12527502933 - the crimp connector that slots into the housing, 6 per side
I crimp the connectors at the end of the wires, insert those into their correct spots inside the housing, and that should be it? Do I have it right? Are those the correct parts?
