Diagnosed Endo But Nothing on MRI
Hi! im looking for some advice, I had a laparoscopy 2 years ago where I was diagnosed with stage 3 endometriosis. Most of the Endo was excised. My symptoms never got better so I recently started talking to a surgeon. She and my last surgeon are both endometriosis specialists.
She sent me to get an endometriosis protocol mri to check for regrowth. I got my results back today and she said that there is no sign of endo, just some loose blood. I'm devastated. My symptoms are horrible and I had convinced myself there must be endo on my bowel or bladder but there's nothing.
She is willing to do another laparoscopy on me but I'm scared to put myself through surgery again when the last one didn't help. I'm terrified if I go through with surgery they won't find anything if I do another surgery.
Does anyone have experience with a specialist not seeing anything on scans but still finding Endo with surgery?
