100 days Zyn free today. Fuck nicotine, seriously.

100 days Zyn free today. Fuck nicotine, seriously.

Officially hit 100 days today and honestly, fuck Zyn and fuck nicotine. I used to be completely controlled by a little white pouch, and being on the other side of that addiction is insane.

I was a can-a-day user (sometimes more if I had a stressful week). It was the first thing I did in the morning and the last thing at night. Total slavery.

Here is the raw truth about what happens when you actually stick it out for 100 days:

  1. The constant anxiety is GONE. I used to think Zyn helped me cope with stress. What a fucking lie. Nicotine creates the stress so it can solve it 30 minutes later. My resting heart rate has dropped significantly, and that weird, underlying baseline anxiety that kept me on edge 24/7? Completely wiped out.

  2. Your gums actually heal. I used to look at my gums in the mirror and secretly worry I was destroying my mouth. 100 days in, the raw spots are gone, the inflammation is gone, and my mouth feels clean again. Your body wants to heal, you just have to stop poisoning it.

  3. Complete and utter freedom. No more mini panic attacks because I left the house without a can. No more planning my work meetings around when I can sneak a pouch in. I am back in control of my own fucking brain.

How I survived the cravings: Look, the first two weeks are absolute hell. Your brain will lie to you and tell you that "just one" is fine. It’s not. When a massive craving hit me, I started forcing myself to sit down and do 2 minutes of aggressive box breathing. It sounds stupid, but it actually forces your central nervous system to calm the fuck down without needing a chemical hit.

If you are on Day 1, Day 3, or Day 7 right now and you feel like losing your mind: DO NOT CAVE. It is literally just a chemical tantrum in your brain. Drink ice water, scream into a pillow, do whatever you have to do, but do not buy another can.

The freedom is worth every single second of the struggle. Stay strong, you got this.
