It has been more than 4 years, am I done?
I started my treatment with overcrowding and deep bite issues. With the initial set of aligners and 1-2 refinements I have seen the biggest changes as my arch got wider and no overcrowding. However, the deep bite issue and my left canine tooth (being high up) still continues. Right now, I am not sure how many refinements I have gone through, I lost the count. Most of refinements had elastic band attached from canine teeth to two bottom teeth making a triangle shape.
Generally, I lost my hope on fixing the deep bite issue as it could require excision of one tooth. But I would pretty much would like my left canine tooth to get lower and rotate slightly, however it is not tracking again.
I will visit the orthodontist soon. I am not sure at this point whether another refinement will help. I considered getting metal braces my orthodontist wanted to continue with aligners. Any suggestions whether it would be worth switching to metal aligners, another refinement with specific adjustments or finish?
