J1 waiver on U.S. government-funded program (Fulbright) with this administration

I would like to know if anybody on this platform had a successful waiver or at least RFE with this administration after being U.S. government-funded program (Fulbright).

J1 waiver on fullbright (persecution or hardship)

Has anyone here applied for a J-1 waiver based on persecution or hardship and gotten approved, or at least received an RFE?

I applied last year, and some attorneys I’ve spoken with recently told me that with significant U.S. gov funding, the waiver is very likely to be denied under the current administration.

I’m feeling pretty hopeless after hearing that, but I’m wondering if anyone here has a similar case or has received an approval or RFE recently. I’d really appreciate hearing about your experience.

J1 waiver (persecution) -do they typically issue an RFE or deny outright?

Hi, does USCIS usually deny a J-1 persecution waiver outright, or do they typically issue an RFE first?

I filed last year with an elderly attorney who helped me pro bono, but my personal statement was only one page and very general and my attorney became very ill and had to withdraw from my case.

I'm hoping USCIS will issue an RFE so I have a chance to submit the additional evidence.
