I completed my DAA on Monday and was called on Tuesday by my recruiter but i missed it and called back less than 10 minutes later but it went unanswered. The recruiter messaged me to call back within the next 7 days if i want my application to be progressed and that id need to call to get my results.

I then called back a couple hours later and was unanswered and i sent a message on rits which has also gone unanswered since Tuesday. I've called everyday this week and have got the same unanswered call and no contact on RITS from them.

I've still not got my DAA results.

I'm just wondering if this is normal and im just being impatient but its hard not to feel im kind of getting ignored if i called back in less than 10 minutes in the middle of the day and still not even a call back since.

I’m currently a 2nd year mechanical engineering student with hopes of joining as a Marine Engineer Officer.

I’m currently torn between doing a year long internship I was offered by an engineering company or finishing 3rd year and joining up late next year.

I’m 100 percent dead set on joining the navy but I’m worried about how competitive the Final Selection Board has become due to the hang ups in training. I’m wondering if experience as an engineer would even give me a higher FSB score to be worthwhile assuming I put it across well in the PRI.

I guess if anyone could answer if the navy cares much about prior experience as an engineer or if having work experience would even be worth another year’s delay.
