Fibroadenoma or more?
Hi all.
I (23 F) noticed a lump in my left breast about 2 months ago. I waited a month, it was still there and had grown slightly. I went to the GP who referred me to a breast clinic. I had an ultrasound on two lumps (one of which I hadn’t found). One was suspected to be a fibroadenoma U2 (13x12x6mm) and the other was noted as dense glandular stroma U1. I was discharged the same day and given a leaflet. It has been around three weeks since them, and I’ve thought nothing more of it.
However, today, I checked my breasts again. The suspected fibroadenoma has grown significantly, I’d say doubled in size. I am on my period currently however I am nearing the end. The plan is to wait a week or two, check again then, and go back. I was told to come back if there was growth, however this feels quite extreme.
I was just wondering if anybody else has had a similar experience? I’m incredibly realistic and hard to scare, so even if it’s not what you think I’d want to hear, I really am all ears.
