Using pod coffee with classic

I recently stayed at a hotel that had nespresso pods in the room. I took them thinking I could use it in the machine at work (which I still might do). It got me thinking though, couldn't I also just open the pod and use the grounds in my pressurized portafilter at home?

Table leg placement.

I recently realized I put the legs on my pedestal dining table back on wrong when I moved it. It had pedestal legs with 3 feet. I put them with the 2 feet side facing outside and the 1 foot side facing inside. I think it's a pennsylvania house table from the 1990s.

Aside from anesthetic reasons, does this make a difference?

USA. Charak Furniture Co. from Boston.

I recently acquired a Charak Furniture chest of drawers that's 4 years from being a bona fide antique manufacturered in 1930. I think they were in operation years before this.

Does anyone have any information about Charak? There's almost nothing online that I can find. My piece is colonial/ Georgian reproduction style with locks on all 5 drawers.

I couldn't pass it up for $40.

Cleaning Furniture from smoker

I recently acquired some furniture from a family member who was a smoker. Does anyone have recommendations on cleaning the build-up off of it? The original finishes are in great condition, so I really just would like to clean them.

Thanks in advance.
