1986-A Washington Bullets fan would dress up as Moses and carry around the 11 Commandments, adding: Thou shalt also have Moses Malone on your ballclub.

Moses averaged over 22 pts and 11 rbs playing in DC for two all-star seasons. The Bullets made the playoffs both years but bowed out each time in the first round.

Interestingly enough, the signing of Malone significantly cut into the minutes of fellow big man and fan favorite Manute Bol.

Leaving at age 33, Malone would play seven more seasons with four different teams before retiring at age 39.

Thou shalt clear the boards.

"That's what I call the Chinese Superman dunk because he kinda flies sideways and got a little slant to the shot." -Rick Barry commenting on Michael Jordan's 'Kiss the Rim' dunk in the '88 Contest.

Jordan ended up winning over Dominique. Even he admits that the home venue of Chicago contributed to his victory.

Barry commented on everything in the 80s and had all but completely disappeared from the mic by the 90s. Wonder why?

Gotta believe this has a ton of room to grow--especially with interest surging in these foils.

If I remember, these were upwards of $600 a little after release. Wonder if they'll make it back to that number.

Anyone else seeing these LOTR Borderless Poster prices spike?

I mean, this is clearly related to the upcoming Hobbit release in August. Still about a month and a half away, so the ceiling might not have been hit as far as price and hype if you're waiting to sell or if you still want to buy.

The non-foil versions are much more reasonable, but the foil versions have already spiked like crazy. Some showcase scrolls are popping off as well in the pre-release craze.

Do people think the prices will keep increasing as we get closer and closer to release? Seems logical.

We're all about history here at DSH. So was tonight's Spurs Knicks game the worst choke job in NBA history?

Sorry if you had it recorded to watch later. Don't bother if you're a Spurs fan.

29 point lead.
Lost by one.
The list of mistakes down the stretch is too long to type.

Might be the biggest choke in all of professional sports second to the 28-3 Falcons Super Bowl lead.

What other contenders are there?

1993: The Padres' Gary Sheffield Brawls With Mets Catcher Todd Hundley After Being Accused of Cheating

Accused of stealing signs, Sheffield rushed the Mets catcher in the 2nd inning of their April game--both were ejected. What a way to start the season. Sheffield indicated that his strong reaction was in response to sign stealing accusations. He seemed particularly opposed to being remembered as a cheater, and took umbrage with anyone labeling him as such.

Fast forward about nine years and Sheffield, along with a who's-who of baseball superstars, was named on the Mitchell report in connection with purchasing PED's from Balco labs.

Sheffield retired in 2009, and despite appearing on a contemporary era ballot late in 2025, has yet to be elected to the hall of fame--an honor he may never enjoy.
