Full time substantive post but want to apply for part time secondment?

I have seen a secondment at my trust which looks great but unfortunately it is only 22.5 hours and I am currently full time 37.5 hours in my permanent substantive post and cannot afford to drop hours.

Does anyone know if you can apply for something like that but then still work the remaining hours in your current post eg work 22.5 hours in the secondment and stay 15 hours at the current role and they potentially backfill the 22.5 hours you are not at the substantive role. Just wondering if something like this is a possibility or not in the NHS, I understand managers would have to agree on days for each role and decide if that suited the service.
