Need help ~ 2012 Avalon or a 2013 Avalon XLE hybrid with $5k difference
I'm a complete beginner having a hard time deciding if the $5k increase in price is worth it for the hybrid engine, 50k less miles, and overall new gen upgrade. Want to keep the car for at least 4 years if possible.
What I've gathered
2012 Avalon - $7,990 - carfax
- 173k miles.
- first 14 months as a rental car for 29k miles
- Unknown damage reported. Couldn't find any signs when checking it out but definitely concerning.
- Few scuffs on paint exterior as well as the door sill
- Carfax shows walmart + sams club as main mechanics
2013 Avalon XLE hybrid - $12,990 - carfax
- 129k miles
- Consistently serviced at a toyota dealership
- A lot of the "new gen" faults already fixed
- Still has its original hybrid battery
- Looks and feels like new
