Car Rental Liability
My boyfriend and I were recently in a car crash while on holiday in Greece. We rented a car- he ran a stop sign and we were T-Boned. There were no markings in the intersection; and the stop sign was obscured by a tree. Multiple other drivers at the scene made comments about how it was impossible to see the stop sign.
we bought full insurance, however today my boyfriend saw his credit card had been charged 5000 Euro by the rental company, because they said he was at fault. They gave us no other notification, no police were at the scene, no breakdown of cost etc.
I was badly concussed in the incident, and my boyfriend and I were more worried about that at the time since we thought we were fully covered under insurance.
the car rental company won’t speak to us or help in anyway- any advice as to how to proceed?
