Has someone also been experiencing this? It has to be the game, I have a pretty high end laptop. Any help would be appreciated!
I've honestly been having such a great time with Vault Breakers solo. As a person who knew nothing about cryo before jumping in, it has been a seriously fun time to progress with upgrading my sponsored kit and getting good at navigating the map. My end goal is to solo the compiler and I'm about halfway there. However if the mode is only active until the 18th, I'm afraid I just barely won't be able to do it, due to irl stuff taking up time. Vault Breakers is literally the only reason I'm playing right now, and I would be heartbroken if I wouldn't be able get that sweet compiler kill in this mode. I think a lot of people also feel this way, so if you're reading this Bungie, please consider it. Thank you!
Initially I wasn't very amused with vault breakers. It had 0 tuning toward solos (my playtime is 90% solos), and going in in trios with crew fill off as a solo, was completely unenjoyable for me.
With the new balancing fix however, I find myself pleasantly surprised with how well this game mode works. I've been waiting for a solo way to explore cryo ever since it came out. There are still some tweaks needed to be made sure, but now I can absolutely see Marathon PvE as a concept working (I was initially very against PvE). The game is still very challenging, and you still need to strategize and play smart if you want to survive. However, the game is more predictable this way, which gives you room for being able to just focus on a single goal, and working towards that, improving each run (opening a vault), giving it a more relaxed, linear feel. And doing all this while not having to worry about other players is just such a breath of fresh air. It just feels like a game mode that actually respects my time as a player. I still think PvP is the best thing in Marathon, but taking a breather with PvE after an intense run can be such a nice change of pace.
I really hope they extend this game mode to the end of the season, because it is the only reason I play right now, and would love to grind out the whole thing. I'm excited to see how the permanent PvE mode will look like in Season 3.
Thanks for reading through allat!
Hi y'all. I have been experiencing strange performance issues with the game lately. I have a high end gaming laptop. In season 1 I used to get like 70-80 fps on my current settings, and now it hovers around 40-60. I'm not sure if it's my pc or the game itself, so I was wondering if any of you have also been experiencing this and possibly managed to fix it somehow? Thanks.

It's really fun to just run around the map, kill bots and loot. Especially now that everyone is kitted to the teeth already and casuals are only getting nerfed, it's great to have an experience where you can just chill and play the game without having to worry about other players. As someone who has more than 800 hours in Warframe and loves farming type games, I really think this should be a permantent addition to the game maybe even as a global pve/pvp switch, although with the drop rate for higher tier items lowered in PvE. I still love the extraction mode and PvP a lot, it's the best PvP experience I've ever had in a game honeslty, but having the option to just focus on quests and farming, leveling up your character is just so excellent and I think it has a ton of potential. Just thought I'd share my thoughts. Curious to hear yours!
