Being a student in this course and observed a lot of things, here are a few :

Although It is a nice course on paper, there are multiple challenges

The fees we pay are on average 5 times more than what other people (both bachelor’s and Master’s) pay; however, the infrastructure that we get in lieu of this amount is essentially nothing. For example, we do not have a particular lecture hall assigned.
There is a shortage of professors, so PhD students are teaching entire courses. Additionally, the course relies heavily on guest lecturers. This leads to scheduling issues; there are multiple weeks where we don’t have any lectures, followed by a week with lectures from 9 am till late evening.
We don’t get hostels for the entire 4 years; we only get them for the first year. This significantly impacts the living costs associated with this course.
We were promised multiple Semester exchanges at universities abroad, but that has not happened; only BSW gets that.
The graduating batch is yet to receive any placements, and most of them will not get placed. Their summer internships through the placement committees were mostly unpaid and in unrecognised companies. For the paid ones, some companies haven’t yet paid the stipends.
Some of my peers have received offers from good Universities abroad; however, they have yet to receive any scholarships to pursue them.
There is a certain cell that coerces and misdirects students to join the course, as it helps them achieve better grades and better placement prospects.
