Colonoscopy prep issues

(26F) It’s me again, I’m doing the prep now. My doctor gave me MiraLAX and Dulcolax for my prep. Already finished half of it. But I’m getting sharp pains in my left side while taking the prep. I’m so scared, what do I do?? 😭 I have no other day to reschedule this to. It’s not a constant pain it’s only happened about 3 times today but it’s scaring me. I’m so scared into going into another flare. This is the worst😩

Colonoscopy in a week

(26F) Another post because I’m super nervous and my anxiety is through the roof! 😭 I messed up and ate a burger and ice cream on Sunday at my brother’s going back to college celebration. And then yesterday by the evening I felt a little twinge, however it went away. I’m not in any pain now. I’m just so nervous and don’t want to cancel my colonoscopy I plan to just drink water, bone broth, and saltines today. I need a little food because I have a busy work day as well.. in a way I feel like if I just get past the colonoscopy I can put this all behind me. I know this sounds crazy but once the colonoscopy is done I hope to finally breathe again.

Colonoscopy after diverticulitis flare

I’m a 26F and I unfortunately got diagnosed with diverticulitis in April of this year. I fell into a depression after learning I had it because both my mom and dad have it, and my mom almost died from it and I also had a neighbor that died from it. So I am terrified of this unfair disease. I’ve had 2 flares (I think) my first one was in April and then in June (when I was suppose to have my colonoscopy) I got a CT scan and found out I still had mild diverticulitis. I am not sure if it just never went away or if it came back, granted I did do quite a lot of drinking from partying and just to calm my nerves before the CT scan. So it could’ve been from that as well. My doctor cancelled my colonoscopy and I was put on the 3 day liquid diet with Augmentin, but ended up in the hospital two Fridays in a row. First Friday (June 26th), I had a fever and I felt sick since taking the antibiotics. ER doc said he was pretty sure it was my antibiotic and sent me home. Second Friday (July 3rd) I had bad vomiting and diarrhea and had to go back did another CT scan and it said I didn’t have diverticulitis but I had colitis. Which I think came from something I ate (the mozzarella pasta at sprouts) so I’m still kind of confused about that. Anyways so I rescheduled my colonoscopy for August 19th. I’ve been feeling little twinges here and there but my doctor doesn’t think I have diverticulitis again still. I also did a stool test and it came back normal. I have seen quite a few people say they had a flare after their colonoscopy and that’s what I’m most scared about. I cannot afford to miss anymore more work and don’t want an abscess or perforation and I’m nervous and wanting advice on how to prevent getting a flare after my colonoscopy. I haven’t been drinking , I’ve only been eating salmon and white rice about everyday with some carrots. My bowel movements are normal, I have been a little constipated today (I go everyday) but I took some MiraLAX tonight hopefully things will get back moving by tomorrow. So please if you have any advice or anything that can calm my nerves…. I am all ears. I really hate that I got this so young (or at all). I’m just praying for better days 😔.
