Been offered 2 jobs! I come asking for advice again from you lovely people.

Hi all,

First of all can I say a massive THANK YOU to all of those who have commented on my previous posts or direct messaged me.

I cannot be anymore grateful!

I have been offered a role with DWP (work coach) and Home Office (case manager/line manager).

I’m in the process of exploring the pros and cons of the roles as well as personal pros and cons (travel etc.).

Obviously I have to make a decision but I am wondering if anyone has any advice?

Can I accept both offers and then turn one down before formal offers are provided?

Any advice or support will be appreciated and thank you all again!

Hundreds and thousands are not sprinkles

This is a VERY MINOR pet peeve and I’m sorry if this has been mentioned before. I just needed to post it somewhere 😅

Just been watching The hostage negotiator knows the hostage taker from way back from season 1 (new to the full episodes having only just got dropout).

During the mini game where Sam states that in the UK they call sprinkles hundreds and thousands.

This is incorrect.

Hundreds and thousands are balls.

Sprinkles are stick shaped. There was a Bake Off episode where they made them.

Thanks for reading, hope your bed is always comfy x

For those who say I’m wrong:

Hi

They’re both made of sugar but hundreds and thousands are balls and can be “sprinkled.”

Did not realise how much discourse this would cause.

Can any of you wonderful people help at all?

Hello all,

I'm in the process of applying for jobs still and I've taken on as much of the advice as my brain can from this page and elsewhere.

Would anyone be willing to harshly critique my STAR statements before I send it off for a role?

Thank you in advance.

Hello all,

Soon to be former teacher here looking to break into the service.
I've applied for positions and always get shot down during the personal statement stage.

I ask others who work in the service to check over my statements and I've applied their feedback and still nothing.
I'm using STAR. Not lying. Not using AI.

Is it really this hard to even get an interview?

Need a reality check and any advice please.
