Whenever i boot up Celeste when Everest is installed i get this message instead of the game:

(Line: 100, Col: 1, Idx: 2040) - (Line: 100, Col: 1, Idx: 2040): While scanning a simple key, could not find expected ':'.

I've tried reinstalling Everest, Olympus, and Celeste itself. I've tried switching to older versions of Everest. Can anybody tell me what's wrong and how to fix it?
