Hi! I am starting work July 6th but have a pre existing travel plan for 5 days in mid August. I just accepted my offer this past week, but will have only accrued 2 days of PTO at that point. Is it fine to request to go into negative PTO this early on? I won’t be needing to take PTO for the foreseeable future before or after this.

Also, who should I reach out to about this? My HR connect (who I speak to regularly) or my future boss (who I don’t really know)?
