Suddenly not spiking?

Anyone else suddenly not have to be so careful about every little thing? I haven’t been able to isolate what changed, but suddenly, I’m not spiking nearly as hard or as high as I was even a week ago.

I don’t let my BG go over 140 for my own sanity, but lately it doesn’t even go over 120. I ate a not-well-balanced Indian meal (completely willing to walk off a spike) and I didn’t even hit 110.

What is this? When does the other shoe drop?

Meanwhile, what kind of day are we having today?
0-3: F this diagnosis.
4-6: this is for the birds.
7-9: I’m annoyed.
10: I’ll survive but I don’t wanna.

ETA: I’m 31 weeks, so feels early for the “leveling out”. And yes, will send a message to my providers if it continues!

Hi, again, to my fav sub!

Is there a need to customize laundry routine to different materials / brands of diapers? We have been a BumGenius family but recently received some AlvaBaby and bought some Kinder to try.

Alvababy is washing up well with our regular routine, but these Kinder pockets are holding on to smells. Do I need to do something different for these materials? I already don’t love the jersey, and the smell issue is making me irritable.

Thanks in advance!!

ETA: current routine is pretty basic and will probably get a lot of shaming and education I’m not really looking for. 😬 We do diaper laundry every single day (toddler is in full time school so we do his school and previous overnight diapers every evening), so it’s really just a rinse, a hot wash, extra rinse, and dry. We use regular free and clear detergent, and sometimes I’ll hit it with Lysol rinse aid when germs are circulating at school. (Recent cases of hand foot and mouth prompted this for a week of diapers.)

Generally just wondering if it’s been anyone’s experience that these synthetic fibers require more labor in the wash routine.
