If you're in the TCG sphere and watch youtube i'm sure you've seen ads for these companies offering digital collections for graded trading cards that you can request be mailed to you.

Now the obvious part is you'll never pull anything worth actual money. Maybe $20 tops. And the majority will be junk cards worth a few cents.

But just getting a card graded is like $40 minimum. Shipping would be another $10 minimum if they wanted tracking. So their break even cost is $50, and if you're spending $50 for 10 cards you might as well go buy them from a scalper.

Are they just hoping people pay for the packs, and never request the physical card so they don't actually have to grade/ship them?
