My lawyer told me I couldn’t file for a work permit until my prima facie was received. I filed December of 2024 and still no prima facie. Is this true? Should I seek a second opinion? I really need to work since I left my abuser.

It’s been a year and 5 months since I applied for vawa, I went for fingerprints, they sent an rfe and I turned that in right away. It’s been a year since I turned that rfe in. My question is, I have not received prima facie. Is that a red flag?? I’m scared since I see everyone receives prima facie right away
